His areas of interests include nephrology, kidney diseases, dialysis and kidney transplantation.
Dr. Niwas holds the membership of many associations and is a regular active participant of various nephrology related activities. Currently he is a member of Delhi Nephrology Society, Indian Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation.
Dr. Niwas has written quite a number of substantial articles for various medical journals. His publications include papers on ‘Acute Kidney Injury in HIV positive Patients’, ‘Coronary Artery Disease in Diabetes Mellitus’ and many more. His publication on ‘Acute Kidney Injury in Developing Countries,’ has gained an international eminence.
Dr. Niwas completed his MBBS from Darbhanga Medical College located at Darbhanga in 2000. Following that he completed MD in Internal Medicine from Patna Medical College at Patna in 2005 and then pursued DM in Nephrology from Banaras Hindu University at Varanasi in 2009.
