Dr. Rakesh Rai Sapra is a well-known Cardiologist practicing for more than 25 years.
Dr. Rakesh Rai Sapra holds expertise in implanting various pacing devices including implantable defibrillators and biventricular pacemakers (cardiac resynchronization devices).
Dr. Rakesh Rai Sapra is known to have performed over 1,000 independent vascular interventions including coronary angioplasties, balloon valvotomy, peripheral angioplasties including renal and carotid angioplasties, and congenital interventions including PDA and ASD closures.
After completing his MBBS, he pursued MD in Internal Medicine from PGIMER Chandigarh followed by DM in Cardiology from AIIMS, New Delhi.
In 2001, he achieved training certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology from Mount Sinai Medical School, New York, USA, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, USA.
In 2006, he was awarded the Best Case award at the AICT conference in New Delhi.
Dr. Rakesh Rai Sapra is an active member of the Cardiological Society of India.
